A Satyr Chooses Abstinence for the Sake of His Newborn Daughter

Goat-woman! Turn away those glistened hindquarters!
I will not be tempted by your promise of youth.

Nor by your sinews and sheenful coat,
nor by this ancient forest,
wherein I played so often and well
with horse-women
twice as fast as you.

Even they could not escape me.

Time is the truest lech,
so I turn it over,
here, today,
like a new leaf,
like I turn you over,
back to time,
and the promise of your youth.

The Loveslave

7 times
then 8
loved & left
said, Alex
there will
not be
a 9

folding chair
flesh against metal
handcuffs
metal against metal
stuck in place
as long as
my desire
desires

forever
said, Alex
you find love
you keep it
you never let it go

Embarrassment

I made a noise with you then,
right at the quietest moment.

Consider it my call to arms.
